Tamara L. Karel
Tamara Karel brings a strong commercial litigation background, spanning a broad range of industries and matters, along with significant experience in electronic discovery and records management to her role as an attorney at Redgrave LLP. She works collaboratively with clients on the construction and implementation of strategic, cost-effective and efficient solutions, offering advice and counsel across all aspects of the Information Law spectrum, including technology initiatives, electronic and paper discovery projects, project management and data governance.
Prior to joining the Redgrave team, Tamara worked as an Associate with Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan and Aronoff LLP. In this role, she offered counsel on a number of commercial litigation matters, including professional and medical malpractice defense, product liability, premises liability, unlawful employment termination, shareholder disputes, wrongful denial of benefits claims and asbestos cases. Tamara also served as Chair of the firm’s Electronic Discovery Committee, helping to initiate Benesch’s electronic discovery and records management practice, while also overseeing discovery projects that involved Terabytes of data, teams of contract reviewers and law firms from across the United States.
Tamara holds a J.D. (Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University, summa cum laude) and a B.S. in Elementary Education (Bowling Green State University). She is admitted to practice in Ohio and the District of Columbia.
