Robert Keeling Featured on the National eDiscovery Leadership Institute’s “NeLI Pod.”

The latest episode of the National eDiscovery Leadership Institute’s “NeLI Pod” features Robert Keeling discussing the intersection of AI, ethics, and discovery.

The episode references a 2021 law review article co-authored by Robert, “Humans Against the Machines: Still Reaffirming the Superiority of Human Attorneys in Legal Document Review” (27 Rich. J.L. & Tech 1 (2024)), in which the authors argued that human judgment in document review was not going anywhere.  The NeLI Pod hosts were interested in whether generative AI had changed Robert’s thinking.  His answer: evolved, not shifted.

Robert also reflects on his earlier arguments about the enduring value of human judgment and examines how generative AI is reshaping validation, privilege logging, and responsiveness review.
