Vanessa Barsanti

PARTNER | LOS ANGELES

INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE:

Vanessa has substantial complex commercial litigation knowledge and experience, with a particular focus in multidistrict litigations and restructuring.  She has worked on some of the country’s largest MDLs, including representing a major multinational oil and gas company and the largest American auto manufacturer in litigation.

Vanessa has managed multi-track offensive and defensive written discovery and directed document collection, review, and production efforts across related MDLs, as well as state coordinated and uncoordinated actions, including state attorneys general lawsuits, and civil and criminal investigations.  While she has focused much of her work on managing the discovery process, always with an eye towards trial and resolution strategy, she has a wealth of experience in all stages of litigation.  Vanessa’s experience in class action settlements, including aiding in fairness hearing preparations and drafting post-fairness hearing briefs, gives her unique insight into managing the review and analysis of plaintiff produced discovery material.  She also has significant trial experience, having been a part of multiple successful trial teams.

At Redgrave, Vanessa works with clients to develop practical discovery strategies, organize all stages of the process, and manage these matters for success.  Her approaches to customizing and implementing technical workflows to support eDiscovery needs and her development of efficient procedures for second-level review and sophisticated document and data analysis, make her uniquely situated to assist her clients in addressing their needs.

Prior to joining Redgrave LLP, Vanessa was Of Counsel at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she was a member of the eDiscovery Strategy team.
