Chief Strategy Officer

Catherine (“Cathy”) is an innovator in law firm strategy, leveraging her extensive legal industry, executive leadership, and management experience to develop and implement people, practice, and growth initiatives for the Firm. 

With a background that includes an AmLaw 50 law practice and in-house counsel work (including at a Fortune 100 company), as well as senior management roles at other law firms, Cathy has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing law firms and their clients.  

As Chief Strategy Officer at Redgrave LLP, Cathy leads the Firm’s efforts to develop and execute strategic plans that address client services, practice management, professional development, business development, and team building. She also collaborates with the Firm’s Executive Committee, Management Committee, and administrative management group to support various Firm initiatives, including performance management, recruitment and retention, as well as professional development, diversity and inclusion, and wellness.  Cathy is a member of the Firm’s Management Committee and an ex officio member of the Firm’s Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Redgrave LLP, Cathy served as the Global Chief Operating Officer at Hausfeld LLP, where she managed the firm’s business, financial, and administrative operations worldwide and led its strategic planning and growth initiatives. Her previous roles also include serving as Chief Practice Management Officer of the Litigation Department at Goodwin Procter LLP, where she directed all administrative and legal service operations of the firm’s litigation practice.

ORGANIZATIONAL INVOLVEMENT & MEMBERSHIPS:

Cathy is actively involved in several non-profit organizations.  In addition to serving on non-profit boards, she co-founded the Resolution Run to Kick Cancer, Inc. to raise money for cancer research and treatment, and she coaches the Shatterproof New York Marathon charity team.

EDUCATION:

Cathy received her J.D. from Stanford Law School and her B.A. from Colby College.  She also completed Harvard Business School's “Leading Professional Service Firms” Executive Education Program.
