Timothy H. Hood, Senior Advisor

Tim Hood offers a unique combination of legal and technical experience that enables organizations to reduce expenditures and risks associated with electronic discovery and information governance. His professional background, which includes time with both an AmLaw 100 law firm and a global management consulting firm, makes him well positioned to work collaboratively with Redgrave clients on controlling discovery-related costs, maximizing efficiencies, complying with stricter, more expansive regulations, implementing and adapting to new technologies and staying out of the headlines for non-compliance or sanctions.

As a Redgrave Senior Advisor, Tim frequently serves as a liaison in complex, “bet the company” litigation, bridging the communications gap between IT, Legal, Compliance, Records Management and other stakeholder groups and helps clients better understand and comply with the preservation obligations in litigation, investigations and other disputes.  He also helps clients ensure that their Records and Information Management programs are capable of supporting these efforts. 

Recent Work Experience:

• Managing the evaluation and implementation of technology supporting legal hold management and data collection 
• Supporting institutions through business acquisitions by developing data remediation plans and recommendations for the defensible disposition of large data stores 
• Working with clients’ inside and outside counsel in the development of consistent discovery processes and approaches
• Serving as a lead technical liaison within core discovery teams 
• Assisting in the preparation of key discovery-related 30(b)(6) witnesses 
• Developing comprehensive litigation response plans 
• Leading counsel and client teams through consultations designed to validate, supplement, and document discovery response processes 
• Working with clients to identify areas for technology enhancement with respect to features designed to ease discovery risk and burden

Prior to joining Redgrave LLP, Tim worked as a Manager within the Huron Legal service line of Huron Consulting Group, as a Senior Analyst at Redgrave Daley Ragan and Wagner LLP and as an eDiscovery Consultant with Faegre & Benson LLP. Tim received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law.
