“Redgrave is a firm that takes great pride in the diversity of not only our team members but in our overall community.  We celebrate inclusion and believe that the quality of our service is continually enhanced by the diverse background of our workplace.”

– Victoria A. Redgrave, Chair, Executive Committee

At Redgrave LLP, differences are affirmatively fostered and valued.  Courtrooms, boardrooms, and law firms are made up of people from all backgrounds, and our strength lies in the recognition that each of us brings a distinct and valuable perspective.  Each person is a unique asset that cannot be duplicated.  We cultivate inclusivity and demand equality, so that all of our people know that they belong.  Every day.

Celebrating Pride 2020

In June 2020, to celebrate Redgrave's LGBT colleagues and support local communities during Pride, the Firm gave our support to three organizations recommended by the Diversity & Inclusion Committee in three locations near and dear to the Firm, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Minnesota.  These organizations include:

The DC Center for the LGBT Community: The DC Center’s vision is to create communities where LGBT people feel healthy, safe, and affirmed.  Their work focuses on educating, empowering, and connecting the LGBT community through four core areas, which include health & wellness, arts & culture, social & peer support, and advocacy & community building.  Learn more about the DC Center here.

The Night Ministry: Based in Chicago, The Night Ministry works to provide housing, health care, and human connection to those struggling with poverty, homelessness, and loneliness.  At the core of their mission is to serve everyone without concern for race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity.  The Night Ministry’s outreach efforts have provided vital health care and support services to thousands of individuals of all ages.  Learn more about The Night Ministry here.

MN School OUTreach Coalition: MnSOC is a partnership of Minnesota students, educators, families, community members, and organizations working together to address issues of sexual orientation and gender identity/expression.  Working within the broad context of schools, they strive to create healthy learning environments that are inclusive, supportive and safe, and where dual orientation and gender identity/expressions are respected.  Learn more about the MN School OUTreach Coalition here

Diversifying the Bench

In March 2020, Redgrave LLP co-sponsored a “Diversifying the Bench Mixer” along with Husch Blackwell, the LGBT Bar of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Association of African American Lawyers, the Wisconsin Asian American Bar Association, the Association for Women Lawyers, and the Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association.  Redgrave attorney Leslie Gutierrez was instrumental in coordinating this fantastic evening with many local Wisconsin legal practitioners and the state’s diverse judges and judicial candidates in attendance, discussing their experiences and sharing their insights!
