Ryan has over twenty-five years of experience leading strategy, operations, and technical execution across the eDiscovery lifecycle, including matters involving large data volumes and complex discovery environments.  

At Redgrave, Ryan advises clients and case teams on complex discovery issues, including the design and execution of technical workflows, data management, and review processes.  He leverages his extensive experience to develop and implement defensible strategies for ESI protocols, analytics, review methodologies, and issue identification.  Ryan is well-versed in applying technologies, including advanced analytics and AI-enabled review workflows, to support quality oversight and consistent outcomes across matters.

Prior to joining Redgrave, Ryan served as Senior Director of eDiscovery and Litigation Technology at Sheppard Mullin, Director of eDiscovery and Practice Technology at ArentFox Schiff, Senior Manager of Litigation Support at Winston & Strawn, and Senior Litigation Technology Analyst at Freeborn and Peters.  In these roles, he advised attorneys and clients on discovery strategy, supported large-scale and high-stakes matters, and guided the adoption of advanced eDiscovery and analytics technologies.

Ryan’s work experience includes:

  • Managing large and complex litigation projects that involve significant data volumes, varied technical requirements, and close coordination with attorneys and client teams
  • Translating discovery strategy into technical workflows, including collection execution, analytics configuration, and review implementation
  • Providing senior‑level guidance on the use of analytics, technology‑assisted review, and AI‑enabled workflows in complex matters
  • Coaching and training staff at multiple levels to strengthen technical capabilities and support sophisticated eDiscovery, review, and analytics work
  • Overseeing vendor relationships, including selection, contract negotiation, service-level oversight, and billing processes
  • Developing and standardizing workflows, quality control practices, and review procedures across matters
