Soyoung has over two decades of experience in high-stakes litigation and intellectual property matters, representing Fortune 500 clients across the consumer electronics, semiconductor, software, entertainment, financial services, and retail industries in all aspects of discovery as well as in jury trials.  

At Redgrave, Soyoung counsels clients on discovery strategy in complex litigation and on emerging issues in eDiscovery, information governance, and technology.

Prior to joining Redgrave, Soyoung was a senior litigation associate at Paul Hastings LLP.  Prior to that, she worked on patent litigation, prosecution and counseling as an associate at several other global AmLaw firms. 

Soyoung’s work experience includes:

  • Managing complex, multi-year litigation matters; preparing expert and fact witnesses for trial; briefing and arguing dispositive, procedural, evidentiary, and discovery motions; taking and defending depositions; managing written and document discovery; and driving overall case strategy in federal district courts
  • Developing and managing IP portfolios including U.S. and foreign patent prosecution across a wide range of technologies
  • Advising clients on IP litigation strategy and counseling in patent, copyright, and trade secret matters, including proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
  • Providing pro bono services, including over a decade of experience representing asylum seekers before Immigration Courts
