Martin Tully and Laurie Carpenter will speak at ARMA InfoCon 2023, taking place on October 9-11, 2023.

On October 9, Martin Tully will participate in two panel presentations.  His first panel, “The Current State of U.S. Data Privacy Laws and What They Mean for InfoGov,” will highlight the impact of evolving data privacy laws and regulations on information management and the need for new records retention practices to ensure compliance.  Martin’s second panel, “California Dreaming Deep Dive: The CPRA Is Now Live, What Does It Mean For RIM and Information Governance?” will cover best practices for organizations to ensure compliance with new CPPA regulations.  Topics include recordkeeping, data minimization, vendor oversight, and data subject access requests.

On October 11, Laurie Carpenter will speak in two sessions.  Her first session, “The Current State of Data Security Laws and Regulations and What They Mean for InfoGov,” will focus on the impact of evolving data security laws and regulations on information management and highlight best practices to ensure regulatory compliance.  In her second session, “Possession Is Nine Tenths of The Law.  Or Is It?  Exploring The RIM Challenges of Outsourcing Your Data,” Laurie will discuss the oversight responsibilities associated with outsourcing data management to third-party vendors.
