Alexandra L. Rhee


Industry Experience:

Alexandra (“Alex”) has a varied background in commercial and business litigation representing clients in both state and federal matters. Alex also has served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable David J. Novak, United States Magistrate Judge in the Eastern District of Virginia and a Law Clerk to the Henrico Circuit Court, the 14th Judicial Circuit of Virginia.

Some of Alex’s recent work experience includes:

  • Arguing motions at general district and circuit courts in Virginia.
  • Drafting complaints, answers, discovery requests and responses, various motions and briefs, demurrers, and settlement agreements in a wide variety of civil litigation matters.
  • Preparing bench memoranda for and assisted in settlement conferences for various types of civil cases, including complex commercial litigation, financial services litigation and patent disputes.

Prior to joining Redgrave LLP, Alex was a Litigation Associate at McCandlish Lillard, P.C.

Organizational Involvement & Memberships:

Alex is a member of The Sedona Conference®, Working Group on Best Practices for Electronic Document Retention and Production (WG1).


Alex received her J.D. from William & Mary Law School, cum laude, where she was also an Articles Editor for William & Mary Journal of Women and the Law and a Graduate Research Fellow. She holds a B.A. degree from Haverford College where she majored in Economics and minored in East Asian Studies. She is a native Korean speaker and is also proficient in Japanese. Alex is admitted to practice Virginia, U.S. District Court Eastern District of Virginia, U.S. Court of Appeals 4th Circuit, and the District of Columbia.
