Industry Experience:

Timothy offers a unique combination of 20 years of legal and technical experience that clients leverage to reduce expenditures and risks associated with electronic discovery and information governance. His professional background, which includes time with both an Am Law 100 law firm and a global management consulting firm, makes him well positioned to work collaboratively with clients to control discovery-related costs, maximize efficiencies, comply with continually evolving regulations, and implement and adapt new technologies. Some of Tim’s recent work experience includes:

  • Evaluating potential technologies to support the legal hold and data collections processes in a consistent and defensible manner
  • Leading counsel and client teams through engagements designed to validate, supplement, and document discovery response processes
  • Working with clients to identify opportunities for leveraging existing technology to ease discovery risk, costs, and burden
  • Assessing and identifying the risks and challenges associated with moving key enterprise data systems to the cloud
  • Identifying and addressing risks associated with implementing a BYOD program
  • Developing processes for the successful onboarding and retirement of systems and attendant data while maintaining compliance with existing preservation obligations
  • Supporting clients with the defensible assessment and disposition of legacy data stores
  • Serving as an internal liaison in complex, "bet the company" litigation, bridging the communications gap between information technology, legal, compliance, and records management

Prior to joining Redgrave LLP, Tim worked as a Manager at HuronLegal advising clients on technology and business process issues related to discovery. Tim’s prior work includes spending 10 years at Redgrave, Daley, Ragan, and Wagner LLP and Faegre Baker Daniels (Faegre and Benson) working to assist clients build and enhance discovery processes and provide consulting services on discovery related technology issues.

Tim received a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law and a B.A. from Gustavus Adolphus College.
