Aviva S. Surugeon



Aviva is an experienced attorney with a background in commercial litigation in both the federal and state courts.  She is skilled in advising and counseling clients on the eDiscovery process, and assists clients with the implementation of legal holds, management of subpoena requests and responses, and document collection and production.  Aviva has appeared as lead counsel on hearings in several matters, including motions to dismiss and motions to compel, and has second chaired a bench trial.  In her practice, Aviva closely follows the evolving technology landscape to strategically support her clients' needs and provide effective solutions. 

Some of Aviva’s recent work experience includes:

  • Managing all litigation aspects of matters, including taking and defending depositions, as well as attending motion hearings, case management conferences, and pre-trial conferences
  • Drafting complaints, motions, and supporting memoranda
  • Managing third party discovery for federal court antitrust matters

Prior to joining Redgrave LLP, Aviva most recently worked as an attorney at Nixon Peabody.


Aviva received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law and her B.A., with honors, from the University of Michigan.  During law school, she was an Administrative Editor for the American Journal of Law and Medicine.  She is admitted to practice in Illinois and New York.
