Industry Experience:

Ben has a breadth of experience in eDiscovery and information law matters, including data mapping, preparing litigation-readiness plans, assisting with production and privilege log preparation, preparing motion papers, and preparing witnesses for depositions.  Ben applies his problem-solving skills to consistently devise practical solutions that are tailored to the needs of the client in any given case or situation.

Some of Ben’s recent work experience includes:

  • Performing data privacy assessments with respect to privacy policies and terms of use
  • Advising clients on information governance strategies and practices including advice regarding compliance with industry specific regulations, GDPR, HIPAA, TCPA, and other privacy regulations
  • Drafting information governance policies, data retention policies, records retention schedules, and data classification policies
  • Advising on defensible disposition projects, including system and hardware decommissioning and physical record remediation
  • Drafting legal hold policies and procedures
  • Researching and drafting legal memoranda
  • Performing document and data analysis in coordination with case and trial preparation
  • Providing recommendations and guidance to clients regarding Electronically Stored Information protocols proposed in litigation
  • Drafting discovery requests and responses

Ben also served as a key team member in In re McDermott International, Inc. (Bankr. S.D.Tex.), where Redgrave LLP acted as Discovery counsel for the debtor, an energy industry provider of engineering, construction, and installation services, in restructuring $9.2 billion in prepetition debt.

Organizational Involvement & Memberships:

Ben is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the Association of Certified eDiscovery Specialists (ACEDS), and The Sedona Conference® Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production (WG1).  His certifications include: CIPP/US and CIPP/EU (IAPP), CIP (AIIM), IGP (ARMA), and CEDS (ACEDS).


Ben received his J.D., cum laude, from Cleveland Marshall College of Law and his B.A. from Huntington College.  He is admitted to practice in Ohio.
