Erica Zolner Speaks on Barriers to AI in eDiscovery at Rabiej Litigation Law Center Summit
On July 16, Erica Zolner joins the panel “Major Barriers to AI in eDiscovery — Lessons from TAR Experience” at the Rabiej Litigation Law Center’s Mass-Tort MDL Bench-Bar Leadership Summit, hosted at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in Chicago, IL.
Keyword searching remains the dominant method for discovery production in mass-tort MDLs, even as technology-assisted review (TAR) and AI tools are increasingly used for other purposes within the same cases. This panel examines the reasons behind that resistance, including work-product concerns surrounding collaborative TAR and AI training, and considers approaches that could help parties move past these obstacles toward broader adoption of AI in discovery production.
