Britney is a legal and business operations leader with a J.D. and MBA, and more than twenty years of experience directing and enhancing organizational functions.  She draws on her combined background in law and business to build and manage strong administrative teams, improve operational effectiveness, as well as develop and advance strategic initiatives.

As Chief Operating Officer at Redgrave, Britney oversees Practice Management, Human Resources, Marketing and Business Development, AI and Innovation, and Knowledge Management, as well as other areas that support the Firm’s daily operations and long-term goals.  She works closely with Firm leadership, including its Executive Committee, to develop and execute strategic plans and priorities, strengthen practice operations, support attorney and advisor productivity and career advancement, and enhance the Firm’s efforts to provide exceptional client services. 

Britney champions initiatives to explore and support fresh approaches to identify new market opportunities and potential clients, expand talent recruiting and retention programs, and guide resource allocation across matters.  She also focuses on enhancing operational infrastructure, aligning administrative capabilities with strategic priorities, and fostering a high-performing, inclusive work environment.  Drawing on her experience leading administrative teams, implementing enterprise systems, and introducing new technologies, including early adoption of GenAI tools, Britney advances the Firm’s efforts to ensure it meets emerging opportunities to enhance operational excellence and strengthen its market positioning.  Working collaboratively with Firm stakeholders, Britney guides Redgrave’s approach to leveraging technology and innovation internally and in delivering practical and legal guidance to clients.

Prior to joining Redgrave, Britney served as Chief Administrative Officer at Stoel Rives, LLP, where she led practice management (practice group directors, practice and project support, knowledge management), operations (facilities, office administration, back-office support, vendor relations),  and human resources (talent, inclusion, benefits, payroll).  She also oversaw the firm’s eDiscovery department.  She worked closely with firm management to direct major initiatives, including implementing new enterprise systems, restructuring operations to improve efficiency, redesigning development and compensation programs, and supporting the firm’s culture and engagement.  Earlier in her career, Britney served as Director of Labor and Employee Relations and Senior Deputy General Counsel at TriMet, practiced in the litigation and labor and employment groups at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, taught at the University of Oregon School of Law, and served as a two-term judicial clerk for Chief Judge Ancer L. Haggerty of the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon.
