John is a leader in advising organizations on a range of information governance, litigation readiness, and records and information management challenges, including those involving the use and implementation of cloud technologies. His extensive technical background encompasses deep knowledge and a niche practice built to address the impact of cloud computing on eDiscovery and information governance. Over the past decade, John has become a widely recognized leader in helping in-house legal, records, and compliance teams adopt and adapt Microsoft 365 (M365) technologies, with a particular focus on M365 Purview’s Risk & Compliance and Data Security Solutions. Most recently, John was Executive Director of the Information Governance practice at Lighthouse, where he helped build and lead a leading Microsoft compliance and security compliance practice.

At Redgrave, John advises clients on developing practical approaches to complex eDiscovery and Information Law matters. He draws upon his extensive experience in records management, data privacy, eDiscovery, and information governance, focusing on M365 implementation, compliance, and security, to identify and understand the unique aspects of an organization’s legal, business, and technology landscape to address all variables within targeted and tailored solutions. Specific to Microsoft technologies, John advises clients on M365 strategies to meet legal and compliance requirements, and he has conducted dozens of program assessments and technology implementations and delivered hundreds of workshops on M365 for records management, eDiscovery, and data protection to organizations worldwide.
John is a Certified Records Manager (CRM) and an Information Governance Professional (IGP). He also holds the Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate certification.
John’s past roles include Senior Director, Information Governance at Lighthouse, Director, Information Governance at Options Clearing Corporation, Director, Information Governance & Office 365 Consulting at Epiq (formerly DTI), and Director, Discovery Services at Modus. Earlier in his career, John founded The Ingersoll Firm, which at the time was a leading ESI data mapping consultancy.
John earned his Executive J.D. from Purdue Global Law School and his Bachelor of Arts from Nazareth University.
