Rishi Chhatwal Speaks at RelFest London on AI Evaluation in Legal Practice

On June 16, Rishi Chhatwal joins the panel “Evaluating AI for Legal Work: From Model Performance to Real-World Impact” at RelFest London.

As AI becomes embedded in legal workflows and adoption becomes mainstream, legal teams risk falling into a common trap: checking the box for AI usage without checking on the actual value it delivers (or doesn’t).  To ensure accuracy, consistency, and defensibility, AI evaluation must be more than a one-time exercise.  Legal professionals must choose tools thoughtfully, and then perform continuous, contextual, and intentional assessments to measure real outcomes and optimize accordingly.  Drawing on perspectives from academia, model development, and applied legal practice, panelists will cut through the theory and share how AI evaluation is evolving, where common practices fall short, and what legal teams should be paying attention to now.
