Law360 Highlights Redgrave LLP’s Addition of Partner Larry Reicher
Electronic discovery and information law firm Redgrave LLP has hired as a partner a former U.S. Department of Justice attorney and former deputy general counsel and head of government relations at travel technology company Hopper Inc., the firm announced Monday.
Based in Washington, D.C., Larry Reicher will lead antitrust-related discovery engagement and advise clients on strategy and compliance in connection with government investigations, regulatory enforcement matters, consumer protection disputes and second requests from the Federal Trade Commission and the DOJ.
“Larry has extensive experience across complex antitrust and regulatory matters, giving him an exceptional understanding of the challenges clients face when responding to government investigations and enforcement actions,” Robert D. Keeling, Redgrave’s co-managing partner, said in a statement Monday. “His deep knowledge of antitrust enforcement, combined with his sophisticated approach to discovery strategy and emerging technologies, will further strengthen our ability to help clients navigate their most complex and high-stakes matters.”
Along with his time at Hopper, Reicher worked as corporate counsel in the litigation and regulatory group at Amazon. Previously, he served in several roles within the DOJ’s antitrust division, including as counsel to the assistant attorney general, a trial attorney focused on media and telecommunications, and the founding chief of the Office of Decree Enforcement and Compliance.
During his time at the DOJ, Reicher litigated major merger challenges and anticompetitive conduct cases, and additionally led joint enforcement efforts with the FTC and state attorneys general. In-house at Hopper, he led regulatory litigation and government investigations, including document productions to government agencies.
Reicher began his career as an associate at Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP before joining Dechert LLP as an antitrust associate. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and his law degree from Emory University.
“What drew me to Redgrave is the Firm’s singular focus on the issues I’ve spent my career working on: getting discovery right in the most complex and consequential matters,” Reicher said in Monday’s announcement. “Redgrave is simply the best in the business. I’m thrilled to be part of this team.”
In other new-hire news, Redgrave, which has offices in D.C., Northern Virginia, Chicago, Minneapolis, Los Angeles and San Francisco, announced in February the addition of Britney A. Colton, formerly an executive at Stoel Rives LLP, as its chief operating officer. In May, the firm picked up Washington, D.C.-based partner Rishi P. Chhatwal, who previously served as director of eDiscovery and information governance at cryptocurrency platform Coinbase Inc.
